I will say that Gray’s WOIO is not boring….

The union is locked in a nasty fight with management over the safety of the news team. WOIO management wants to be able to send MMJ’s out on solo live shots and union members are not signing on.

It also appears that the building security isn’t all that great either.

Station insiders tell FTVLive that the outside company that cleans the building were surprised to find a homeless man camped out in the sales conference room located on the main floor of the building.

When confronted, the man ran off and out through an emergency exit.

Last year the station dealt with a fire in an emergency exit stairwell that leads to the main studio. It forced employees to evacuate the studio. Cigarette butts and clothing were found in the stairwell. Station insiders believe a homeless person was frequenting that stairwell.

Maybe, the safest place for the news crews is not in their own building.
