Sources are telling FTVLive that ChatGPT and any “artificial intelligence writing” is now “banned” for use by anyone as part of an updated “Nexstar standards” rules.

If this is the case, it is a very bad move by Nexstar.

We have heard for years that AI is the future and now the future is here.

Programs like ChatGPT and other AI programs have exploded onto the scene and they are getting better everyday.

Microsoft has invested billions of dollars into ChatGPT and in just a short time, more than 100 million people have logged onto Bing and tried the program.

We hear that AI will replace Journalists in the future.

FTVLive sees this a bit different.

In the coming months, there will be Journalists and there will be Journalists that use AI to help them do their job better.

I think those Journalists will continue to have jobs and flourish in this industry. I think the Journalist that shun AI will be the ones that are replaced.

If Nexstar is banning AI at their stations, it will be like newspapers laughing at the internet In the early 90’s and calling it a “fad.”
