While CNN is attempting (keyword Attempting) to move from the left back to the center, MSNBC has no such plans.

Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki is set to host her own talk show on MSNBC called “Inside With Jen Psaki” starting on March 19.

The weekly program will air on Sundays at noon and aims to rival popular political talk shows such as “Meet the Press” and “Face the Nation”.

Psaki is known for her feisty encounters with journalists and her ability to defend the Biden administration’s policies. The show will include political discussions and human-interest profiles.

MSNBC executives hope Psaki’s familiarity with viewers will bring them back to the network, which has seen ratings fall since the Trump era. NBC is also investing in the Psaki brand, as she will soon host a show on Peacock, write a regular column for MSNBC’s email newsletter, and NBC has pursued more of her former White House colleagues.

Critics have raised questions about journalistic ethics given the “revolving door” between government and news organizations. However, Psaki assures viewers that she will be authentic and critique Biden when necessary.

I not sure I’m buying that.
