Huh?
I saw this post from KSAZ in Phoenix…
I clicked on the story and they reported:
Following the disastrous train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, officials in Maine have been collecting data to see what impacts — if any — the plume of smoke and chemicals will have on air quality in the New England area.
The story then went on to say that, “Wind patterns in and around New England often travel from west to east and many states are located downwind of Ohio…”
I looked on a map, yes, Maine is east of Ohio, but it is also pretty damn far north as well.
It’s also over 800 miles away. Don’t you think any fumes or gasses would be dissipated by the time it got to Maine, if it got there at all?
If I lived in Maine, this would be very far down my list of things to worry about.
This seems like another TV news scare story if you ask me.
