Yesterday, FTVLive showed you a post from a Tegna recruiter who was pitching a producer job at WTSP (Tampa) on his social media. 

The recruiter’s post includes a video from WTSP’s 11 pm producer about her day. 

That day includes editing her own video for her show. 

She admits, “Producers [at WTSP] edit.  That can be a challenge at times, I’m really not going to lie, but there are certainly perks.”

A Producer that saw the story on FTVLive gave us their take on the video.

I think the funniest part is thinking that a video that includes the producer editing would attract a candidate to a top market like Tampa.

I’m not an editor, I’m not going to edit (unless it’s a desperate situation), and I’m definitely not coming to your station.

Of course a recruiter who’s never worked in news probably doesn’t know that no producer is looking to have editing responsibilities.
