WTIC in Hartford is on the 4th floor of the old Hartford Courant building. The newspaper moved out, and the TV station is the only tenant in a largely vacant building.

The elevator that leads to the newsroom has had numerous incidents in the last couple of years, including an employee's hand getting caught in it on Thanksgiving Day.

It's been out of service for nearly two weeks.

One of two elevators on the sales side of the building has been working until this week when this email was sent.

Now, there are no working elevators and all employees must climb four flights of stairs.
