After seeing this post from WDJT (Milwaukee) News Director Jessie Garcia, one Wisconsin Journalist is calling BS.

They sent this email to FTVLive:

This is demonstrably false. It’s such an insane lie I’m…not even sure what to say.

Every station in Madison has a Capitol reporter. Spectrum News has a Capitol team. The Hearst stations even have their own Sunday show that is THE premier political program in the state of Wisconsin. 58 does not. 

Yet, Garcia has a promo running that claims 58 is the only station with a Capitol team covering politics. It’s a lie - and not a particularly good one. 

She’s been driving the bus at 58 for more than a year now and the ratings haven’t budged. Turnover is worse than ever and they’re still #4.

If you can’t beat ‘em - lie.
