Scripps Posts Loss
Scripps released their 3rd quarter earnings report, and the company posted a loss.
Scripps said revenue was down over 7%, with operating revenues declining to $566.53 million from $612.10 million last year.
A salesperson who works at a Scripps station tells FTVLive that they are finding it more difficult to sell ads on the anchorless newscasts that Scripps is implementing across its stations.
FTVLive continues to hear from frustrated Scripps employees who still don’t understand what management is doing other than “gutting the news product.”
Scripps is attempting to do what no company has successfully done, and that is to “cut their way to prosperity.”
