Yesterday, FTVLive told you that a Tampa media insider claimed that Scripps WFTS was no longer broadcasting several of its newscasts live.

A station insider emailed FTVLive to confirm the story, and said that the Scripps station only does live newscasts at 6 am, 9 am, 5 pm, 6 pm on weekdays, and the Weekend am.

Newscasts that are pre-recorded are 430am, 5 am, noon, 3 pm, 4 pm, 7 pm, 11 pm, and on Weekends 6p and 11 pm.

I’ll be honest, a couple of years ago, if you told me that a station in a top 15 market would be recording their newscasts, I would have never believed you.

I feel for the Tampa news viewers that are being offered this crap.
