FTVLive Reader Questions ABC News's Decision

The networks all covered the fact that the judge issued a gag order Tuesday after Donald Trump attacked the judge’s law clerk on social media and in comments to reporters covering his New York business fraud trial.

The judge was angered by Trump’s post earlier Tuesday on his Truth Social site that included disparaging comments about the clerk alongside a photo of her posing with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.

An FTVLive reader wondered why ABC News used the Cleark’s name, when the other networks did not.

This is the reader’s email to FTVLive.

Regarding the Donald Trump’s social post that triggered the gag order yesterday; It was thoughtless and careless that ABC News digital writers and producers just had to include the name of the clerk in their digital posts when other networks left the person's name out of their stories deliberately.

In this climate, ABC News put this person AND their family even more in the spotlight. The person's name was not necessary to the story. Obviously, anyone could have probably searched enough to find a name. But why would ABC journalists make it that much easier?
