Longtime KUTV Chief Meteorologist Sterling Poulson announced that he is retiring from the station after 34 years.

The Sinclair station posted a story about Poulson stepping down. The site included sound bites with the GM the News Director, but oddly, nothing from the guy who is actually retiring.

Then again… it’s Sinclair.

“When I think of First Alert Weather, and the commitment to provide Utahns with the important information they need for their daily lives, the first person I think of is Sterling Poulson,” said Mike Friedrich, KUTV News Director.
