Longtime NBC Correspondent Kerry Sanders was among the layoffs at NBC.  

His last day was last Friday. Sources tell FTVLive that Sanders was surprised but not shocked. He was told two weeks prior that NBC was buying out his contract.   

Sources tell FTVLive that NBC News plans to have fewer people actually traveling to stories and will instead take video from affiliates and will supplement that video with zoom interviews and track the stories in the studio.

The TV news business continues its decline.
