Well, I Guess It's a Work in Progress
4 days ago, FTVLive showed you the smiling selfie that ABC News Correspondent Juju Chang posted from the town of the mass killing at an Asian dance club.
What makes this worse than other Journalists that have posted crime scene selfies is Chung is looked up to by many younger Journalists that see this and think that it is okay.
It’s not.
After FTVLive posted the story, Chang posted another selfie from Monterey Park, CA.
This time, Chang went with a more solemn facial expression, and so did a couple of others in the picture. The other 3 went with the smile or smirk in the photo.
My question is why do you feel the need to post pictures of yourself at all? Can’t this be about the community, the victims, and the story?
I have seen a number of Reporters and Correspondents turn down people for selfies at the scenes of a tragedy.
Yet, for some reason, Chang feels the need to plaster her picture at the scene all over her social media.
Be better.
