WKBD (Detroit) promised us a newscast in 2022 on the CBS O&O.

But 2022 came and went, and the newscast never hit the air. The station hired a new News Director and anchors back in July, but yet the news never went on.

The plan to do a newscast in Motown was approved by CBS back in 2021, with the promise of hitting the air in 2022.

Now they are saying January of 2023, but one insider tells FTVLive it might be closer to March.

The station passed the blame on supply chain issues, and the pandemic pushed back the premiere.

I’m not sure I buy that, but hopefully, they will get the news on soon.
