Sources tell FTVLive that Tegna’s WPMT is mostly doing away with sports coverage.

“Saturday night was the last time a sports segment within the newscast aired. Tonight at 10, there was a block of national consumer stories instead of Todd Sadowski, the sports director,” said a station insider to FTVLive.

The insider added that WPMT is still airing the Frenzy weekend sports show, but that appears to be it.
