Back From the Dead

It appears that former CNN Anchor Michaela Pereira is still alive and she is giving a talk show another try.

Pereira is joining the daytime TV ranks in fall 2023 with a brand new one-hour syndicated talk show. Titled "Michaela!", the daily program is set to feature conversations on universal topics and lifestyle segments, and comes from PPI Releasing, an independent TV distribution company based in Venice Beach, California, and led by Ritch Colbert, Josh Raphaelson, and David Hutchinson.

Pereira, a former CNN anchor, said in a statement that she's always been curious about the world and the people around her. "I love people, and I’ve been so worried about us over the past while with the pandemic and then the after effects of it on our mental health, our well-being. So, what I want is to bring us together again to remind us of who we are, what we’re made of, how much we have in common," she said.

The new show will strive to be centered around the human experience, and according to Pereira, that doesn't mean just having someone sit and tell a boring story. Instead, the show will aim to capitalize on the universal truths that we all share. And, of course, there will be plenty of opportunities for laughter and fun as well.
