Staffers at WEHT/WTVW (Evansville) were forced from the building after a “toxic” smell was wafting through the station.

The smell prevented at least a 9pm newscast from going on the air. There was no crawl at 9pm to explain it. There was simply an Andy Griffith rerun instead of the news.

The anchors did update viewers with a post to Facebook from the station’s parking lot.
