Another One Gone in LA
Word is that popular KTLA Morning Anchor Lynette Romero is gone from the Nexstar station.
Romero had been missing from the anchor desk since Labor Day and many viewers thought she was just on vacation.
On Wednesday morning’s newscast, Entertainment Reporter Sam Rubin mentioned that Romero was gone from the station and even Rubin seemed to be surprised to be learning that news.
Station insiders told FTVLive that management brought the script in for Rubin to read and the anchors were not allowed to discuss it more.
Sources say that Romero is not allowed back in the building and her desk is being boxed up and will be delivered to her.
Put all this together and it sounds like she is headed for a job across the street. I don’t know this, I’m just connecting the dots.
She joined KTLA in January 1999 as a general assignment Reporter and has worked her way up over the past two decades plus.
Viewers were sad to learn the news.
Her bio remains on the KTLA website. Update: Now it’s gone.
