Dropping The Ball on the First Coast

On Friday evening there was a Tornado Warning issued in the Jacksonville, Florida area and as viewers tuned into local channels, this is what they saw shortly after the warning was issued.

WJAX/WFOX was on the air with the details:

So was Graham’s WJXT:

But, when people tuned into Tegna’s First Coast News, they saw network programing and commercials.

Word is that it took the Tegna station nearly 15 minutes to get on the air with Weather Anchor Amelia Henderson.

A number of viewers that saw Henderson’s on air reporting of the storm were not exactly impressed.

While it seemed to take Henderson a longtime to get on the air, we are happy to report that over the weekend, she was able to update her profile pic on social media.

And, let’s be honest here, isn’t that much more important than a silly tornado warning?
