Back in Feb of 2021, FTVLive told you that longtime KOLR (Springfield, Missouri) Anchor David Oliver was let go from the station after working there for nearly 2 decades.

Well, now Oliver is coming off the beach and headed back to a station he once interned at.

WIBW (Topeka) announced that they have hired Oliver to take over for longtime Anchor Ralph Hipp, who is retiring from the station tomorrow.

I guess you could call this Hipp replacement.

Ha…you see what I did there….right?
