As if there weren’t enough problems at the little watched News Nation network….

Staffers at Nexstar’s News Nation are not happy as they are being asked to promote Chris Cuomo’s new show on the network, despite the fact that it isn’t even on the air yet.

Employees are being asked to promote the fired former CNN host anyway they can, including plugin Cuomo’s new show at the bottom of their email signatures.

This is what News Nation is asking staffers to embed in their email signature.

“They didn’t ask us to promote Dan (Abrams) when he joined NN,” said one staffer that is not happy.

When Nexstar hired Ashleigh Banfield, she was supposed to be the network’s face and its big star. Now, it’s like Banfield is yesterday’s news.

Speaking of Abrams’ show on News Nation. It is approaching 6 months since moving Dan Abrams Live to the 9 PM/ET timeslot after a stint in the 8 PM/ET hour.

The show is not exactly tearing up the ratings. In fact, the 9PM hour on Fox News, MSNBC, and CNN are beating News Nation by triple and quadruple digits in both total viewers and the demo.

But, Nexstar seems to believe that with Cuomo it will be different. They think that Fredo will do what Banfield, nor Abrams have done and that is to bring a lot of eyeballs to News Nation.
