While a number of people working at Nexstar stations are told there is no overtime and their raise is just 1%, Nexstar’s WKRG (Mobile, AL) has rolled out The Weather Beast.

Sure, it’s really just a Chevy Tahoe with a vinyl wrap, but that is not stopping the station from hyping this car like it is a storm stopper.

It’s really just a gimmick.

An expensive gimmick, but still just a gimmick.

I don’t know what it cost, but let’s say it was $100,000 bucks. Do you think you could have hired another Reporter or two for that amount?
