Brian Stelter signed off from his ironically named “Reliable Sources” on CNN this past Sunday.

While there was much talk in the media about Stelter being handed his hat, it did exactly goose the ratings for his final show.

Stelter’s final RS pulled in 769,000 total viewers and 105,000 in the demo.

Compare that to Howard Kurtz’s MediaBuzz on Fox News, where Kurtz’s show nearly doubled Stelter In total viewers and more than doubled him in the demo. The Fox News show pulled 1,393,000 total viewers and 220,000 in the demo.

Stelter went out with more of a whimper than a bang.
