Forecasting Football in Dayton?
When Apollo took over the Cox stations the cutting began and it shows on air.
Look at Cox’s WHIO in Dayton which was once considered a top station in Ohio. But, as the station looks more at the bottom line than they do the on-air news product, it is getting embarrassing.
WHIO has no full-time person working in the station’s sports department. When longtime Sports anchor Mike Hartsock retired, the station was too cheap to replace him.
Well, now high school football is starting up and if you know anything about high school football in Ohio, you know it is more like a religion.
So, how is WHIO covering Friday Night Football at the station?
They are having the Weekend Meteorologist do it.
WHIO Met Austin Chaney will put down his weather clicker and pick up the pigskin for football coverage on WHIO.
Wow! How the mighty have fallen.
