Back in January of 2020, FTVLive told you that KRQE (Albuquerque) Weather Anchor Mark Ronchetti had signed off from the station to make a run for U.S. Senate.

He Lost.

When that happened, he went back to his TV job.

But, he quit again, and since he could not when the Federal race, he decided to try a state race this time.

This time Ronchetti is running for Governor of New Mexico and he is fairing a bit better.

Ronchetti won the Republican primary for governor to challenge incumbent Democratic Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham.

If he loses, will we see him back on the news?

Clearly, this is a guy that wants to be a politician and TV is just his fallback.

If he loses again, there is no way as a News Director I would hire him.

He wants to be. politician.
