It's Bad News For Brian

If you read Brian Stelter’s newsletter you can see that he has gone back to slamming Fox News and Donald Trump, and it appears this is going to be the sword he will die on.

When Chris Licht was announced as the new head of CNN, he told some at Fox News that the attacks from CNN would be dying down. And, for a while, it appeared that CNN media critic Brian Stelter had pulled back on his nightly attacks of Fox News.

But, just like a crack addict addicted to the rock, Stelter could not go very long without once again hitting Fox.

Now, there is no doubt that Fox News, just like CNN and MSNBC deserved to be taken to task from time to time. But, with Stelter and his minion Oliver Darcy, it is not stop hate pointed at FNC.

Word is that Licht is looking very seriously at handing Stelter his walking papers and replacing him. While FTVLive would hate to see Stelter go, as he is always good for content, we understand why Licht may make the move.

Brian Stelter has become the very definition of the “liberal media.”

While I don’t buy into the “liberal media” as a whole, as many of the right continue to beat that drum, there are some that appear to be completely in the tank for the Democratic party and Brian Stelter is one of those people.

While some wonder if Stelter will survive at CNN, he is not doing himself any favors.

He continues the attacks on Fox News and his ironically named “Reliable Sources” continues to struggle big time in the ratings.

On Sunday, CNN’s Reliable Sources delivered 421,000 viewers and 56,000 with A25-54.

In fact, this was the shows worst performance with viewers since 2015 and worst show with A25-54 since 2013.

How bad did Stelter get beat? Well, Fox’s MediaBuzz with Howard Kurtz pulled in 1,200,000 viewers and 176,000 with A25-54 marking a 185% advantage with viewers and a 214% advantage with A25-54.

And this is Howard Kurtz.

Ouch!
