This is Where we Are in the Media

10 days ago, a white supremacist walked into a Buffalo Supermarket with a gun and murdered 10 people.

The story has basically already been dropped from news coverage, and for the most part, the media has moved on.

In fact, it was hard to find any coverage of the shooting after day 4.

To put that in perspective, the media as a whole spent more time covering the Will Smith slap than they did the killing of 10 innocent people.

Many in the media wonder why the public is not consuming as much TV news and why many look at the media as not trustworthy?

Maybe the media needs to look at themselves and ask how an actor slapping a comic with no charges filed deserves more coverage than a group of Black people being killed solely because of the color of their skin?

Food for thought.
