The Exodus in Albany Continues...
Albany, NY is one of those markets where many people might make a stop on their way to a bigger market.
But lately, the amount of people leaving the market seems to have reach a fevered pitch.
FTVLive has been telling you about TV news people signing off at all the stations and another wave has just rolled out.
Darrell Camp, Emily De Vito, Matt Hunter and Gardner Royce (pictured from left to right above ) all recently announced they were leaving their news stations.
The Albany Times-Union writes that this round started with Matt Hunter's announcement. He shared he's leaving Spectrum News Albany after more than a decade with the 24-hour news station. Later that same day, sports anchor-reporter Gardner Royce said good-bye to CBS6 shortly after his final broadcast. Like Hunter, Royce didn't share publicly what was next, but did say he was leaving the industry.
Rounding out the group were Darrell Camp, who signed off of WMHT after a year with the public access station; and WNYT's Emily De Vito. De Vito, who reported and anchored at the NBC affiliate, is headed to CDTA.
