While former Fox News host Chris Wallace was touted as CNN+’s big name hire, it appears that he might be headed over to the mothership in the near future.

Sources tell FTVLive that incoming CNN boss Chris Licht has already talked about giving Wallace a show on CNN’s cable arm.

Right now, Wallace is only on CNN+ and sources say he is being paid a lot of money to be on the streamer.

Word is that Licht thinks that Wallace is an A-list name and would help bring viewers into the low rated cable news network.

“When Licht takes control, look for Wallace’s role to expand at CNN,” said one CNN insider to FTVLive.

A move like that makes complete sense to us, but then again, this is CNN we’re talking about and they haven’t made much sense in a long time.

Maybe with Licht at the helm that will change.
