A news crew for KJRH (Tulsa) was set up for a live shot when a car drove by and fired what appeared to be a pellet gun at the direction of the crew.

Tulsa Police say that the Reporter was hit by the pellets.

A number of outlets in the Tulsa area reported on the shooting, but the name of the Reporter was never released.

It does seem odd that as a news station you leave the “who” out of the “who, what, where, and why?” of the story.

KJRH reported on the story, also withholding the Reporter’s name and said, “Tulsa police say they have reason to believe that these incidents may have been recorded and could be part of a social media challenge but they do not think any specific group or person is being targeted for any reason.”

Update: The Reporter is said to be Katie Keleher. Thankfully she was not seriously hurt
