Longtime Boston Met is Dead
Back in January, viewers of the Weather Channel saw Meteorologist Mish Michaels covering the big snowstorm that had barreled into the Northeast.
Now, her family released a statement that Michaels had died suddenly. “It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Mish Michaels. Our family is devastated by her loss,” the family said in a statement.
The statement did not say how she died and the family is asking for privacy.
Micheals had worked at a number of New England stations, but she might be best know for her time at WGBH (Boston) which lasted just days.
Micheals was hired as the station’s Science Reporter back in 2017, but the station canned her after she was outspoken in her controversial belief that vaccines cause autism.
“The decision was made that [Michaels] is not a good fit for ‘Greater Boston’ and she won’t be working there,” WGBH’s Jim Braude said at the time.
The family did not say how Michaels died.
