WKRC Morning anchor John Lomax joined the Sinclair station almost 4 decades ago as a Reporter.

In 1990, he moved to the morning newscast as an Anchor and that is where he has been ever since.

But, in late April, Lomax is stepping away from the anchor desk.

“You know, I came here thinking that this station was a steppingstone to my next job, that I’d head somewhere else in the country after a few years. Yet, after I arrived, I just fell in love with the place and never really wanted to leave. It has been a great experience. I love what I do yet honestly, I’m looking forward to taking some time for myself now. Sleeping in and connecting with family are going to be at the top of my to do list,” Lomax said.

Despite joining the station in 1983, Lomax posted very few selfies on his social media and we couldn’t find a single video of him dancing.

John Lomax will be missed when he retires.
