Notice Who is Doing the Bitching About Zucker's Firing?
FTVLive has pointed out a number of times in the past, as what we saw as Jeff Zucker’s woman problem.
Zucker filled his prime-time lineup with men and when the ratings for the morning show tanked, he was always quick to yank the female anchor off the show.
But, checking our inbox, it appears that women might not be the only ones that Zucker seemed to not give full respect.
A CNN staffer sent FTVLive an email and we will post it below:
As a member of CNN’s rank and file and a person of color, you'll notice that many of the talent that's speaking up are those who are Zucker hires, and people who were promoted to plum spots like him.
This so-called DC meeting where you had angry anchors like Jake Tapper speaking up --- notice that the majority of these people are white.
You're not hearing much from people of color about Zucker's ouster --- and watch closely for that.
With the exception of Don Lemon (who was given a plum 10pm spot)
Zucker has made CNN a more elitist Northeastern outfit, as opposed to its all encompassing roots in Atlanta which was quite affordable for a budding young journalist to work at a news organization.
A lot of these people are upset because some changes will be made, and that means that they might have to start sharing the stage with their more diverse colleagues. I'm sure Zucker promised --- I'll make you a STAR to the talent defending him.
Just my two cents.
