Someone of you might be old enough to remember the “ice desk” fad in TV news.

TV stations in colder climates were building news sets out of ice in the station’s parking lot and having their talent sit behind the desk out in the elements.

Sure, it was stupid idea, but many stations got into the fad and thankfully, just like those ice desks, it melted away.

Well, not entirely…

It seems that WKYC (Cleveland) has run out of any original ideas and they are bringing back the ice desk.

Oh….yes, of course this is indeed a Tegna station.

BTW- can someone check on the guy in the back to make sure he didn’t freeze to death?
