At one point, Byron Allen was trying to borrow and secure enough money as he could so he could buy up the Tegna stations and add them to his Allen Media group.

But, yesterday a story surfaced that Allen is now trying to buy the Denver Broncos, a move that if successful would make him the first Black majority owner of a National Football League team.

The fact that he is now pursuing an NFL franchise, likely means that he knows that he is not getting the Tegna deal.

As FTVLive told you, it is expected that Tegna will soon announce that they are selling the group to the hedge funds Standard General and Apollo.
