First, I have to admit that I am never a fan of canceling newscasts. The news never stops and either should the newscasts.

THat being said, a few weeks ago, management at Gray’s WLUC (Marquette, Michigan) had made the decision to not do a newscast on Christmas Eve, or Christmas day.

Of course that decision was made before a massive storm would sweep across the county.

That meant WLUC had decided that they needed to put on a newscast. But, instead of calling in an anchor, WLUC News Director Andrew LaCombe decided to handle the anchor duties and let the others still have the time off.
