Standard Media WLNE’s newscast were knocked off the air after a fire started in the photog equipment area.

A battery caught fire and it set off the sprinkler system. The fire started around 1:30AM. A Producer heard a “pop” and smelled smoke just before calling the fire department.

Blazebusters quickly put the fire out, but the building has a lot of water damage. WLNE stuck with network programming and newscasts were suspended, except for some streaming updates.
