Nice Gesture in Dallas
On Friday, the KTVT (Dallas/Fort Worth) management did something a little different for the holiday season.
Instead of celebrating a Christmas luncheon back at the station, KTVT General Manager Raquel Amparo Stuart, News Director Scott Keenan, and other volunteers decided to spread some kindness by delivering lunch to news crews out in the field. They visited several locations where news crews were working, bringing food and goodwill to those who were unable to attend the station's holiday festivities.
According to sources at the station, Amparo Stuart and Keenan's gesture was much appreciated by the news teams, with one source saying, "I've never worked in a place where the GM and news director have done this for anyone." Amparo Stuart also took to social media to share her appreciation for the hardworking news teams, saying, "When your storytelling teams can't make it in the building for station events, you bring the festivities to them! The work never stops, and they deserve whatever we can do to say THANK YOU!"
It's heartwarming to see a station leader showing gratitude and appreciation for her team, especially during a time of year when the work never seems to stop. Amparo Stuart could certainly serve as an inspiration to other station leaders, showing them that a little bit of gratitude goes a long way in making a difference for those working in the field.
