A Bill to Ban TikTok

Oh no!

What will Caroline Collins and the other dancing TV news people do?

There is a bill that has been introduced in the Senate and House that would ban TikTok in the United States.

The bill, sponsored by Republican Sen. Marco Rubio, Rep. Mike Gallagher, and Democratic Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi, is looking to ban the social media platform in the U.S.

TikTok has ties to the Chinese Communist Party and Chinese law requires that data from the company's app be made available to the Communist party.

“At a time when the Chinese Communist Party and our other adversaries abroad are seeking any advantage they can find against the United States through espionage and mass surveillance, it is imperative that we do not allow hostile powers to potentially control social media networks that could be easily weaponized against us,”  Krishnamoorthia said.

I’m not exactly a fan of Florida Senator Marco Rubio for a number of reasons. But if this guy can help end newsroom dancing, he’ll move up a few pegs in my book.
