I remember working with an Anchor who when the newscast was over, he would wipe down the anchor desk and clean up any papers left behind by his co-anchors.

I asked him why he does that every night after the news.

“This is the place where we invite viewers every evening to find out what is happening in our area. We deliver them both awful and at times uplifting news. I have great respect for those viewers and this anchor desk that I sit at each night.”

Maybe, someone at WTVR (Richmond) can explain to Anchor Jake Burns what respect is for the place you do your job?
