One of the good guys in this business is about to call it quits at the end of this year.

After more than 4 decades in Chicago TV News, WMAQ’s head of news, Frank Whittaker is going to retire.

Chicago is a great, but very tough news town and the fact that Whittaker was working for 46 years in the Windy City, shows that he is one of the good ones.

He leaves the NBC Tower on December 30th.
