Back in 2021, Popular Orlando Anchor Nancy Alvarez signed off from WFTV to go work for the Florida United Way.

But, as many that leave TV news find out, working for many businesses outside of news is boring.

Alvarez is making a return to TV news early next year, but don’t look for her on WFTV.

Alvarez is headed to WESH.

“We are thrilled Nancy will be a part of the WESH 2 News team in January,” said WESH ND Stephanie Linton. “Nancy has built strong connections with our community through her integrity, credibility, and public service. As a journalist, she has covered Central Florida with authenticity and compassion.”

She will anchor the Noon and 4 PM newscasts.
