He posted a TikTok were me mouthed the words to a boy band from the 90’s.
He called out his station for, “low pay, toxic work environment, and a terrible General Manager.”
FTVLive has advised News Directors to put Maxie Pad on their “Do Not Hire” list.
After we posted the story, Maxie sent out this post that he later deleted:
The difference is, my job is that of a critic.
You are sniping at your station, the people that paid you and gave you a job.
Do you think that a News Director that is looking to hire you and sees you taking shots at your old managers and station, thinks you won’t do the same thing to them if they hired you?
Of course, there are more than a few stations and ND’s out there that would be stupid enough to hire you, but I doubt any decent News Director would. This business is much smaller than you think.
Maybe you are getting out of TV news, with no plans to get back in. I for one would encourage to leave the business, because TV news doesn’t need people like you in it.
Also, there are a number of people that quit their job in TV news and say they aren’t coming back. But, sure enough, as time passes they found themselves back in a business that they were sure they weren’t coming back.
Will a General Manager at a station sign off on hiring you after you called your last GM “terrible”?
Again, yes there are some GM’s that will be stupid enough to hire you, but my guess is they wouldn’t be any better than the GM you just left. No good GM is going to sign off on you.
Also, you have toiled away anchoring in a small market, you haven’t paid your dues and maybe when (if) that happens, you will then have the juice to call people and stations out. But, right now, you come off as an entitled little bitch that hasn’t even gotten their feet wet in this business yet.
If you can’t see the difference between FTVLive calling out a station or company and you doing it, then I’m thinking you are the clown.
Right Bozo?
