Cable News Continues to Shed Demos
There is some good news and some bad news for cable news in the October ratings.
The good news, all three cable news nets saw their ratings increase in total day viewership.
The bad news, all three saw their demos fall in the same period.
Fox News once again led the way and the led by a lot. This makes it 20 straight months that FNC has won the total day ratings.
MSNBC saw their today days ratings increase by 10% over last year and CNN also saw a 9% bump.
In primetime, all three networks saw their numbers drop in both viewers and in the demo.

TOTAL DAY
FNC: 1,482,000 total viewers – up 5% (206,000 in 25-54 – down 10%)
MSNBC: 751,000 total viewers – up 10% (80,000 in 25-54 – up 1%)
CNN: 533,000 total viewers – up 9% (106,000 in 25-54 – up 3%)
PRIMETIME
FNC: 2,292,000 total viewers – down 1% (295,000 in 25-54- down 15%)
MSNBC: 1,177,000 total viewers – down 2% (114,000 in 25-54 – down 20%)
CNN: 624,000 total viewers – down 6% (134,000 in 25-54 – down 3%)
