Bumped Up in Austin
It appears that Tegna’s KVUE (Austin) has found their new Chief Met and they didn’t have to go far to do it.
The station bumped up morning Met Hunter Williams as the new chief meteorologist.
"What makes Hunter special is his work ethic. He’s the first person in and the last person off when severe weather hits. Hunter has seen how weather can impact Central Texans in an instant. He’s constantly looking ahead with the forecast because he understands how important it is to keep everyone informed, down to the second," KVUE News Director Christina Ginn said.
Williams has been at KVUE since January 2020, most recently as Daybreak's meteorologist. With his change in title, Williams will move from Daybreak to KVUE’s evening and late-night newscasts.
Because, despite what stations try to tell you, the evening and late newscasts are still the most important.
