All about Me TV - Beaten with a Hammer Edition
KGO (San Francisco) Reporter Lena Howland posted about how she was assigned to cover the Paul Pelosi attack, in which the 82-year-old was beaten with a hammer.
Howland called in a “Wild News Day!” and explained how she was on the scene before the sun came up and how she was doing live shots across ABC stations.
She even included a picture that her boyfriend took of her on WABC’s air in New York.
Apparently, she was soooo “busy” talking about what she did, that she didn’t even have any space left in her post to share actual news about the attack or as to how the victim was doing.
Okay, so you were on the newscast in New York, and you’re in San Francisco, a top market. While this might be exciting for a Reporter in Yuma, I would think that a Journalist in San Francisco would be past this stage.
Use your social media to advance or update the story, not to show your “reporter pose” and talk about how your boyfriend got to see you across the country.
You can do that in a Zoom call.
I’m sorry, but this is KGO, I would expect better.
Just saying…
