Today marks the one-year anniversary when our country looked like something you would see in a third-world country.

Throngs of Trump supporters tried to turnover the election of Joe Biden and laid siege on the United States Capitol building.

It was one of the darkest days in this country’s history.

Today, you will not be able to turn on cable news and not see some talking head talking about that day a year ago.

I for one will not be watching.

But, I will remember how I felt on that day and I will remember how I was shocked and embarrassed for the United States.

While cable news will be covering this anniversary ad nauseam, I really hope that they also understand that they were a big reason as to why January 6th happened in the first place.

Cable news (all cable news) continues to drive a wedge into this country in an effort to divide us and continues to preach hate for the other side.

While cable news will be going on and on about that day, one can only hope that they will take the time to look at themselves and the role they played.

Ask yourself this, do you think January 6th would have happened without cable news?

My answer to that is no.
