An FTVLive reader says that on New Year’s Day they tuned in to watch the late news on Tegna’s WKYC (Cleveland) to get an update on an off-duty Cleveland police officer that was shot and killed during a carjacking on New Year’s Eve.

There was no newscast.

The viewer tells FTVLive that in place of the newscast, he found a repeat Christmas special with WKYC’s in-house comedian Mike Polk (screenshot above).

First off, viewers are counting on you for news.

Second, why are you running a a Christmas special 358 days before Christmas.

Tegna should be embarrassed, but them again….this is Tegna.
