WICS (Springfield, IL) Reporter Alyssa Hui announced on New Year’s Day that her time at the Sinclair station is over and she is leaving the business.

“I decided to step away from the news business to take care of my mental health and attend to family health concerns,” she said in a social media post.

Just like COVID, the mass TV news exit is showing no signs of slowing.
