I Have Some Questions...
Boston 25 Reporter Heather Hegedus posted a video of a report she did from the breaking news desk. Apparently, some City of Boston employees were upset about a vaccine mandate and showed up at the Boston Mayor’s house to protest.
Her post is below and then I have a few questions on the other side:
Okay, here’s my first question.
I know that the “Breaking News Desk” where Hegedus is supposedly filing this report from is a gimmick dreamed up by TV consultants that they believe will rocket TV ratings to the top.
But, if you’re going to call it a “Breaking News Desk”…shouldn’t there be….you know…. a desk?
Otherwise, isn’t this really just the “breaking news nook”, or the “breaking news monitor”?
My second question is about this guy that was featured in the video:
He shows up to the Mayor’s house to angrily protest a vaccine mandate, yet it appears that he was headed to a birthday party before stopping to protest.
This one stumped me a bit, so I searched as to the birthday of Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, and lo and behold it was yesterday.
So, this guy is marching on the Mayor’s house as part of an angry protest in which the police were called, yet he stopped off to buy the Mayor some birthday balloons?
Passive/aggressive much?
